On March 28, the Center for Management Strategies, the Alliance for Innovation, and Arizona State University hosted the first of three sessions on "Reinventing Government: the Book's Continuing Influence After 20 Years." This great session featured Ted Gaebler, co-author of "Reinventing Government" as well as panelists representing tenured managers on whose careers the book had a profound influence and newer managers who discussed the impact of the book moving into the future. It was a great session and thanks are extended to all participants.
If you weren't able to attend this program, it will be presented two more times--July 25 in Arlington, Virginia and as a pre-conference session on September 22nd prior to the ICMA Annual Conference. We hope you join us for one of these sessions and share how you are "reinventing government." Thanks to CH2M HILL for its gracious sponsorship of these events.
