In a recent article, Government Technology describes Ted Gaebler as a "Government Transformer," adding that "when it comes to innovation in government, he literally "wrote the book."   They are referring to the 1992 best-seller, Reinventing Government: How the Entrepreneurial Spirit Is Transforming the Public Sector, written with co-author David Osborne, that influenced a generation of public policy experts and managers and continues to inspire us today toward its concepts of entrepreneuralism, customer focused management, market driven leadership, and anticipatory foresight.

Ted continues to transform government as city manager of Rancho Cordova, California and will headline a program presented by the Center for Management Strategies, the Alliance for Innovation and Arizona State University and sponsored by CH2M HILL, entitled, "Reinventing Government:   The Book's Continuing Impact after 20 years and its Message for our Future."

The Reinventing Government program will be presented in Arlington, Virginia on July 25th and in Boston, Massachusetts on September 22nd as a  pre-conference session for the ICMA Annual Conference.   Registration for  the Arlington program is available now by clicking here.

Congratulations to Ted for being a "Government Transformer"  and for encouraging all of us to be transformers too!!
