The Rural Business Cooperative Service, part of the US Department of Agriculture, is accepting applications under the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), which is designed to help agricultural producers and rural small businesses reduce energy costs and consumption and help meet the nation’s critical energy needs. 

REAP will make $50 million available in 2016 renewable energy grants The program provides guaranteed loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase or install renewable energy systems or make energy efficiency improvements. This is a great opportunity for businesses in rural communities to explore the possibility of adding solar into their energy sources.
