There is an alarm clock that brews a cup of coffee a few minutes before waking you up. Imagine being able to roll over and immediately begin sipping on a mug of black gold. I know where my next paycheck is going. Coffee is my blood. Literally. I’ve had so much coffee today (and everyday) that my blood-coffee-content is well over the legal limit. With enough coffee, I can take over the world (figuratively of course).
The greatest beverage ever concocted can be used for more than world domination:
- Are you on the job hunt? Are you looking for relaxed environment to conduct interviews? Are you looking for a meeting place that isn’t your office? BOOM: Coffee shops are in.
- I’m all about trying different coffees. This blog from a member of the Professional Fellow Exchange Program describes his experience at a coffee plantation.
- A blog from the ICMA Center for Management Strategies discusses some unique ways you can engage your community; one of the ways is to go to a coffee shop and talk to people. Read more here.
Let the Knowledge Network know how you use the coffee pot to spread ideas in your local government. Leave a comment below, engage with our users by asking or answering a question, and send me your funny stories (and/or your favorite coffee recipe).
I’m off to grab another cup o’ Joe.
