Economic development incentives are not just a US phenomenon, and investment promotion agencies around the world are just as frustrated as we are when it comes to finding good data about what works for incentives and how they can be used effectively. A free conference will be held at Columbia University in New York from November 13-14 to address these issues and help agencies assess if, how and when to use incentives to attract new businesses and jobs to their communities.
