  • Maricopa, Ariz. City Manger Brenda Fischer discussed her experience and work management style in an event hosted by Pinal Partnership that featured an interactive session with mayors and city managers from Maricopa and Eloy (InMaricopa).
  • Anoka County, Minn. Administrator Jerry Soma discussed the possible County shut down if the state government is not able to approve the budget (Minneapolis Star Tribune).
  • Milton Dohoney, City Manger of Cincinnati, Ohio has called for a Budget cut and city workers were asked to provide their suggestions for improvement (WKRC- TV).  
  • Effingham City, Ill. Administrator James Arndt has decided to contribute $50,000, a third of the total cost of renovating the former courthouse, due to its social and cultural significance to the community (Effingham (IL) Daily News).
  • In order to keep the Police Department and major city parks open, Larry Bauman, City Manager of Snohomish, Wash. is considering raising property tax and asked residents for their opinions through a mail-in survey (Everett (WA) Herald).
  • Beaumont, Tex. City Manager Kyle Hayes is confident the two person reduction to the police force, approved by the City Council, will not adversely affect the community (Beaumont (TX) Enterprise).
