Like with clothes, there really is no good one-size-fits-all model for civic engagement.   Local governments should employ different approaches depending on the situation at hand, the purpose for the engagement and the promise they are willing to make to the public.

The Center for Management Strategies will offer an educational session exploring the findings of its research on the important topic of civic engagement on Monday, September 23rd at 9:45 a.m.  The session is entitled "Civic Engagement. . .One Size Doesn't Fit All"  and will mark the official "launch" of the CMS efforts to deliver training and technical assistance in civic engagement and public participation.
