WASHINGTON, D.C.—ICMA, the International City/County Management Association, welcomes Verizon, one of the largest technology companies in the world, to the ICMA Strategic Partners Program at the Executive Partner level. ICMA will work specifically with Verizon’s Smart Communities Division.

From population growth to rapid urbanization, cities and communities face new challenges to maintain high standards of livability, resiliency and sustainability. Verizon’s Internet of Things (IoT) technology helps communities improve resource management, increase citizen satisfaction and keep citizens informed, offering residents a better quality of life.

Verizon will partner with ICMA on several content and educational projects throughout the year.
