If you have your mobile phone or tablet computer handy, check out the new Life, Well Run website. It works on desktop computers, too, but it automatically adjusts itself for any screen size or device. So users don't have to zoom in to read tiny text or miss out on the great videos. For the most part, the same excellent resources, success stories, and videos from communities throughout the United States are still there and easy to find. The home page also features our Twitter feed so you'll see the latest trending topics.

And thanks to our prinicipal sponsor ICMA-RC, we have added a new section called Community Heroes. Managers are always looking for ways to recognize local government team members who use their talents each day to improve community quality of life. We asked several ICMA members to identify individuals they consider "community heroes." The first of these video profiles includes a parks technician who cares for a county cemetery, a community school coordinator who makes connections for children and families, and a solid waste management director who fell in love with his job.

If you haven't checked out the video section lately there are more than a dozen videos from communities who tell their own stories using the Life, Well Run video template. Be sure to check out the Life, Well Run Success Map as well. From Albany, Oregon, to Caribou, Maine, the Success Map features programs that not only address a community challenge, but also highlight the value of professional local government management.

Life, Well Run social media is integrated into the website as well. If you haven't already, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter @lifewellrun. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the new website or maybe you have a success story to share. Send us an e-mail at lifewellrun@icma.org.
