ICMA President Jim Bennett and President-Elect Pat Martel have finalized appointments to the Strategic Planning Task Force. Over the next two years, this diverse group of members will work together to develop a new strategic plan for ICMA, shaping the future of the organization. The task force will be responsible for developing an actionable strategic plan that describes the organization’s strategies for achieving its vision and mission, as well as how these strategies should be implemented.

The Strategic Planning Task Force will kick-off its efforts with an organizational meeting this June in San Antonio. The chair of the task force is Sheryl Sculley, city manager of San Antonio Texas. Lee Worsley, deputy county manager of Durham County, North Carolina, will serve as vice chair.

Members with questions about the task force can contact staff liaison Amber Snowden, ICMA Public Policy Coordinator at asnowden@icma.org.
