The ICMA Executive Board met virtually on February 11-12, 2022, via the Zoom platform and took the following actions:
- Received a presentation from Professional Development Academy on their partnership with ICMA to offer the ICMA/PDA Performance Leadership Academy and the Cybersecurity Leadership Academy.
- Received a federal legislative update presentation from Capital Edge, a Washington, D.C.-based firm widely recognized for its expertise on municipal issues and federal-local relations that ICMA has engaged to help the association gain greater insight into the legislative and regulatory activity occurring in the nation’s capital
- Approved the slate of 2022-2023 president-elect candidates to be interviewed by the board at its June 2022 meeting.
- Conducted its annual review of ICMA’s financial policies and approved changes proposed by the Audit, Finance, and Business Operations Committee.
- Received an update on ICMA’s global engagement activities, including the development of ICMA's global engagement strategy.
- Approved recommendations to amend ICMA's membership dues strategy. Revised membership dues rates will be implemented beginning with the January 2023 dues renewal strategy.
- Reviewed and approved recommended member task forces and committees for 2022-2023.
- Received updates from board liaisons to ICMA’s affiliate organizations and member committees.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for June 9-12, 2022. During this meeting, the board will interview candidates and select the 2022-2023 ICMA President-Elect.
