Know any summer interns, undergrads, or MPA students who would be interested in winning up to $1,500 and attending the 2018 ICMA Annual Conference?

For the third year in a row, ICMA's Life, Well Run Student Photo Contest will create awareness of the local government management profession while defraying the cost of ICMA Annual Conference attendance for three talented individuals. We’re looking for engaging photos that will help us show and tell the story of the outstanding work that appointed professional city, town, and county managers do to enhance the quality of life in the communities where we work, live, and play.

Help us make this year’s contest a success! If you teach or know of any college-age students, encourage them to review the “Show & Tell Us Your Story” article posted on the Life, Well Run website. Or go there yourself if you’re an ICMA student member.

To enter, each student must submit a portfolio of at least three but not more than six photographs that capture their city, town, or county manager or administrator at work. Each photo should demonstrate how professional local government impacts their community in a positive way.

Three winners of the 2018 Life, Well Run Student Photo Contest will be chosen in August, and each student winner will receive free registration and a travel stipend to attend ICMA’s 104th Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, September 23-26, 2018. We’ll even throw in a small stipend for spending money!

The winning photographs will be displayed at the ICMA Annual Conference in Baltimore, where they will be viewed by ICMA members, guests, private-sector company representatives, and other conference attendees from around the world.

So, if you are or know a budding student photographer, check out the 2018 Life, Well Run Student Photo Contest details and instructions. The deadline for entries is Monday, July 30, and winners will be announced on Friday, August 10, 2018.
