ICMA and Public Management (PM) magazine introduce the launch of "PM From the Archives." This new series of ebooks features practical content aimed at local government leaders looking for answers to their greatest organizational and community challenges.
"PM From the Archives" launches this month with:
Leading in an Economic Downturn
A collection of PM articles, blog posts, and other material from ICMA's archives from such authors as Edward Everett, Shayne Kavanagh, Frank Benest, and Len Wood, this ebook provides expert advice on:
- Lessons from previous recessions that affected local government.
- Reshaping your local government and building employee spirit, passion, and commitment and, ultimately, organizational capacity.
- Leadership strategies to help your organization in the midst of turmoil and fear, and, in the process, demonstrate your value.
- Financial strategies that will inspire pride, loyalty, and enthusiasm throughout the organization so that staff and employees are inspired to work together to make the organization financially sustainable.
Ebooks are scheduled to be published quarterly for free for ICMA members and subscribers of PM magazine. They will be sold to nonmembers through the ICMA Bookstore in the future.
