The ICMA Student Chapter Program grew to its largest in the 2018-2019 academic year. Its nearly 100 chapters serve as the first connection to the profession for many members, introducing them to ICMA members, resources, and the Code of Ethics. With the support of faculty advisors and mentors in the profession, chapters organize events centered around public service and topical public service issues; attend conferences, meetings and other professional development events; and complete service projects for nearby local governments.

The 2018-19 ICMA Student Chapter Yearbook provides an overview of the past academic year based on annual reports submitted by student chapters. The yearbook includes regional updates and photos, a list of new chapters established during the academic year, and profiles of all 2018-2019 Local Government Early Career Service Certificate recipients.
