ICMA's Job Center offers a database of current job openings for local government professionals, from intern to city/county manager. 

ICMA has made some updates to the Job Center that will make it easier to post a job advertisement.

Save Your In-Progress Ad

Job Center users can save a job advertisement at any time during the posting process and come back at a later point to finish. Click the “save for later” button on any of the sections during the post-a-job process. Continue posting the ad by clicking “resume” next to the ad under “in progress job postings.” Note that incomplete job ads will be accessible for six months.

I'm a Recruiter

ICMA has streamlined the posting process for recruitment firms. After creating a nonmember account, recruiters should select the "I'm a recruiter" option at the top of the "post a job" page. Use the organization lookup menu to select the organization where the position is located. If the organization has an ICMA member, by selecting the correct organization, the member rate will be offered at checkout.

County Search

Job Center users can check the “county” option in the organizational lookup, which will remove the city drop down and allow for a search by county organization within the state.

As a reminder, all job postings to ICMA's Job Center run for 60 days, unless the application deadline is sooner. All posts are automatically included in the ICMA Newsletter, Leadership Matters.
