The ICMA Executive Board will meet in Wellington, New Zealand, February 22–26, 2015. This meeting is conducted as part of ICMA’s International Regional Summit and provides a unique opportunity for board members, members of ICMA’s International Committee, and ICMA’s international affiliates to have an extended conversation on topics that will contribute to the shared goal of networking and exchanging knowledge and skills across international boundaries. SOLGM (New Zealand Society of Local Government Managers) is providing opportunities to interact with local government managers and with representatives of the national government.

In 2012, the board approved adding a regular rotation of board meetings outside the United States with the strategic purpose of initiating, strengthening, and leveraging relationships with international organizations to create excellence in local governance. The intent is to conduct these meetings every three years and to have the International Committee meet in conjunction with these international board meetings. The last board meeting outside of North America was in Bratislava, Slovakia, in June 2012.
