Beginning Friday June 29,  ICMA will implement a flexible work schedule for the summer months. ICMA's offices, which are normally open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (eastern time zone) Monday-Friday, will close at noon on Fridays. Normal hours will resume after Labor Day. This flexibility will allow most staff, except those required for essential operations or to fulfill contractual obligations, to work a compressed schedule and to leave at noon on Friday. 

The early-Friday closure is not a reduction in employee work hours but a compression of the official hours of ICMA staff during the summer. ICMA staff who are required to work will maintain a normal schedule and can be reached via their direct extension or via email.  The main ICMA telephone line (202/298-4262) will automatically go to voice mail after noon Friday.
