The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014 appropriated $600 million to be awarded by the Department of Transportation (DOT) for National Infrastructure Investments. As with previous rounds of TIGER, funds for the FY 2014 TIGER program are to be awarded on a competitive basis for projects that will have a significant impact on the nation, a metropolitan area, or a region. In addition to supporting capital grants, DOT has the flexibility to use up to $35 million of TIGER funds for planning grants.

The application closes on April 28 but applications are encouraged by April 25. Note that the registration process must be completed before submitting an application.
