Is your community a good place to grow up and also to grow old?  If you are interested in learning about practical strategies that your community can adopt or adapt to make it a more livable community for citizens of all ages, you might want to apply to be part of the Livable Community Learning Collaborative. 

 

Supported by funding from MetLife Foundation, the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) is taking applications from communities interested in being part of the collaborative. Selected communities will receive six months of technical assistance to conduct a community focus group to explore livable community strategies of interest; assistance in developing an implanting an action plan that can be realized incrementally without the reliance of additional resources; access to best practices models from across the country; and, an opportunity to participate in a national meeting in Washington, DC.
