The 7th Annual University-City Relations Conference, sponsored by the International Town and Gown Association (ITGA) and hosted by Eastern Kentucky University and the city of Richmond, will take place on June 4-8, 2012. Presentation proposals are being accepted through January 31, 2012. ITGA will select sessions that best demonstrate effective, innovative, and just plain brilliant town/gown collaborations in the following areas:

  • Economic Development Initiatives (Business-Government-University Partnerships)
  • Arts & Culture/Quality of Life (Community-University Collaborations)
  • Campus and Urban Planning and Design Projects
  • Facility Design and Usage (Joint University-Community Purposes)
  • Campus Safety
  • Off-Campus Housing/Neighborhood Association Relations
  • Community Relations/On-and Off-Campus Special Events (Total Program/Individual Projects)
  • Effective Community Law Enforcement (Community Policing)
  • Public School System/University Collaborations
  • Community/University Joint Marketing & Public Relations Efforts (Tourism)
  • International Cultural Aspects of College Towns
  • Continuing Education and Outreach (Community Education)
  • Transportation
  • Town-Gown U-Student Leadership in Action
  • Emergency Management in Town-Gown Relations.
