The 7th Annual University-City Relations Conference, sponsored by the International Town and Gown Association (ITGA) and hosted by Eastern Kentucky University and the city of Richmond, will take place on June 4-8, 2012. Presentation proposals are being accepted through January 31, 2012. ITGA will select sessions that best demonstrate effective, innovative, and just plain brilliant town/gown collaborations in the following areas:
- Economic Development Initiatives (Business-Government-University Partnerships)
 - Arts & Culture/Quality of Life (Community-University Collaborations)
 - Campus and Urban Planning and Design Projects
 - Facility Design and Usage (Joint University-Community Purposes)
 - Campus Safety
 - Off-Campus Housing/Neighborhood Association Relations
 - Community Relations/On-and Off-Campus Special Events (Total Program/Individual Projects)
 - Effective Community Law Enforcement (Community Policing)
 - Public School System/University Collaborations
 - Community/University Joint Marketing & Public Relations Efforts (Tourism)
 - International Cultural Aspects of College Towns
 - Continuing Education and Outreach (Community Education)
 - Transportation
 - Town-Gown U-Student Leadership in Action
 - Emergency Management in Town-Gown Relations.
