Hazel Crest, Illlinois, Retains Council-Manager Form

Voters in the Village of Hazel Crest, Illinois (pop. 14,200), faced two form of government ballot questions when they arrived at the polls on March 15: Whether to keep the current council-manager system and whether to adopt the mayor-council form of government. By similar margins, voters retained council-manager government (3,177 to 1,438) and rejected the change to the mayor-council structure (3,040 to 1,574).
