The Town of Jackson, Wyoming is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Public Works Director, hiring range $125K - $145K DOQ, full benefits. The Town of Jackson seeks a qualified individual with demonstrated abilities in budgeting, GIS, capital project management, personnel management, and team building. Ideal candidate will have a strong values orientation, have local government experience, possess a PE, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Position reports to the Public Works Director, assisting in all aspects of planning, directing, and coordinating the work plan and management of the department, as well as specifically assigned projects. The Public Works team consists of administration, wastewater treatment and collection, streets and infrastructure, water wells and distribution, engineering, fleet management, and facilities maintenance. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering, public administration, or a closely related field in addition to 10+ years of relevant experience including 3 of those years in a supervisory capacity.
