Fire Chief – City of Rowlett, TX

Rowlett is home to nearly 68,000 residents and sits along the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard in far east Dallas County and west Rockwall County. The City of Rowlett operates under a Council–Manager form of government. The Mayor is elected at-large, and the City Council consists of representatives elected for staggered terms. The City organization delivers a full range of services, including public safety, public works,

REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Public Administration, or related field, Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that includes a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Fire Science or Fire Prevention, and completion of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy.
• Eight (8) years of paid fire service experience, including four (4) years at Fire Captain or higher
• Valid driver’s license
• NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800

PREFERRED:
• Master’s degree
• TCFP Master Firefighter
• Fire Officer IV
• TEEX Fire Service Chief Executive Officer
• Texas Fire Chiefs Certified Fire Executive
• National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer

The City of Rowlett is offering a competitive salary range of $138,311.49 to $207,467.83, depending on qualifications and experience.
