The Village of Northfield is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Building Official to join our Community Development Department. The Building Official is responsible for ensuring compliance with Village building, zoning, and related codes and ordinances, supervising/performing inspections, and providing professional guidance to residents, contractors, and design professionals.

The starting salary is approximately $110,000–120,000, dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications. The position is located at Village Hall (361 Happ Road) and is full-time, at-will, non-exempt status with working hours generally between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for 37.5 hours per week.
