The City of Ogdensburg (pop. 10,064) is situated on the magnificent St. Lawrence River in northern New York State. The City of Ogdensburg adopted the Council-Manager form of government in 1970. It is among the oldest ICMA-recognized plans in New York State. Six City Managers have served Ogdensburg over the past 36 years. The position of City Manager is currently vacant. A newly elected City Council is seeking qualified applicants to provide positive administrative direction to its city government operations.
The City seeks a seasoned leader of a comparable organization with extensive personal experience in finance, budgeting, labor relations, capital and operational planning, expenditure management, public facilities, and staff development.
