This is the 2010 nomination of Ponca City, Oklahoma's Wireless Mesh Broadband Network program for the Community Sustainability Award. City Manager Craig Stephenson and Technology Services Director Craige Baird are credited with aiding in the development of a wireless network encompassing the majority of the city, resulting in improved services for community members, police officers, firefighters, and City employees.
