This is the 2010 nomination of Schaumburg, Illinois' Child and Family Center for the Community Partnership Award. Village Manager Kenneth J. Fritz is credited with aiding in the development of this center which expanded service to low income children from 42 to 110 children. The average income of these families is $16,864 and nearly 100% of them are lead by single mothers. This center provides an opportunity for these single mothers to complete their education and establish themselves in the workforce while their children are cared for.
