Infrastructure Week (05/15-05/21) is a national week of events, media coverage, and education and advocacy efforts to elevate infrastructure as a critical issue having an impact on all Americans. This year’s theme is “Infrastructure Matters.”

One of the events planned this week is the #InfrastructureMatters for State and Local Governments: A Capitol Hill Briefing on Financing America's Infrastructure Future. Representatives of state and local governments will gather on May 19 at Rayburn House Office Building to discuss the important role states and local governments play in financing, building, and maintaining America’s infrastructure. Panelists, including ICMA member Sheryl Bailey, Deputy County Administrator, Chesterfield County, Virginia, will highlight past, present, and potential models for financing projects while exploring the impact of federal policies, programs, and proposed reforms.
