Dianne Miller, ICMA-CM

Dianne will join the executive office and work closely with the executive director to align the organization around the board’s priorities. She will have direct responsibility for human resources, information technology, the ICMA ethics program, and will help guide the change in how ICMA oversees the ICMA’s Future of Professional Management Fund, as well as policy advocacy. Dianne will also engage with members and provide executive leadership to the development of ICMA’s next strategic plan, which will kick-off later in 2025. She joins ICMA on July 21.

Michelle Crandall

Michelle becomes ICMA’s first chief member services officer, where she will provide leadership to three critical program areas: Member Benefits and Services; Strategic Relations, Member Support, and Advancement; and Professional Development and Learning. Michelle is a former ICMA Executive Board member and is one of the original “Athenians’a group of ICMA members who have worked together to provide meaningful professional development to local government managers grounded in the Athenian Oath. Michelle’s experience, connection to ICMA members, and deep commitment to ICMA make her the ideal person to fill this new role within the organization. She joins ICMA on July 28.

The Leadership Team

The addition of Miller and Crandall will fill critical vacancies on the ICMA Leadership Team and will support a strategic focus on programs and services valued by ICMA members and supporting professional local government globally.
