Mary Jacobs, ICMA-CM, has joined ICMA as full-time managing regional director and assumes liaison duties for states in the current Mountain Plains regions. In the coming year, Jacobs will be focused on supporting her other regional directors as regional nominating agreements are renegotiated to implement ICMA’s new governance structure.
Jacobs brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience to the role, most recently serving as a director in the Human Capital Solutions group at MGT. Her prior local government experience includes serving as town manager of Oro Valley, Arizona; assistant city manager of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and assistant town manager of Barnstable, Massachusetts. She began her career with Maricopa County, Arizona.
Pam Brangaccio has joined ICMA as the regional director for the Southeast region. Her commitment to professional management and quality of life in local communities now finds a new outlet through serving in this role.
Brangaccio served as the national coordinator for the ICMA Senior Advisor program for the past three years, and as a Florida senior advisor for five years. Her extensive career in local government has included serving as an assistant manager in West Palm Beach and Charlotte County, Florida, and as manager in the Florida communities of Safety Harbor, New Smyrna Beach, Bay County, and Broward County.
The addition of Jacobs and Brangaccio will fill critical roles at ICMA where they will support a strategic focus on programs and services valued by ICMA members.
