On July 11-12, 2013, five of the six vice presidents-elect, incoming president Simon Farbrother, and incoming president-elect Jim Bennett came to the ICMA offices for an orientation. Vice president-elect Lars Wilms, chief executive officer, Egedal Kommune, Denmark was unable to attend.

The orientation began with an all-staff breakfast where the incoming board members introduced themselves.  The orientation also included an overview of ICMA finances and key issues, a review of board responsibilities, and an opportunity to share interests and priorities. 

The vice presidents-elect, the incoming president, and the president-elect will be inducted at the Wednesday morning general session at the Boston conference in September and are pictured here. ICMA will begin accepting candidate statements of interest for the 2014-2015 election in September 2013.
