The ICMA Executive Board held its quarterly meeting in Tampa, Florida, October 24-25, 2025, and took the following actions:
- Approved the Special Election ballot language on governance changes, which require amendments to ICMA’s Constitution. This Special Election opened November 4, 2025, and closes December 3, 2025.
- Approved vendor contracts related to upcoming ICMA Annual Conferences and to ICMA’s move to its new headquarters in 2026.
- Heard reports from the Audit, Finance, and Business Operations Committee; Membership and External Outreach Committee; and Committee on Professional Conduct on their workplan accomplishments for FY 2025.
- Approved granting ICMA Life memberships to Geralyn Barone, Kirk Bednar, Valerie Lemmie, and Dennis Enslinger in recognition of their contributions to ICMA and the local government profession.
- Initiated phase one of ICMA’s strategic planning process and characterized the focus of that work as a strategic roadmap for the organization.
- Reviewed board governance and policies and continued the conversation on the strategic roadmap.
