Life, Well Run is ICMA’s initiative to raise awareness of and appreciation for the value professional local government managers bring to building communities people are proud to call home. Before the national campaign launches this summer, we need your ideas and your feedback.

A Life, Well Run Ideas Advisory Committee is being established to test ideas and to gather members’ suggestions for enhancing the campaign. The committee will consist of 10 – 15 members, and will meet virtually three or four times in 2013 and 2014 as needed. We hope it will have broad membership representation, with particular emphasis on creative engagement tactics and outreach. The committee will review the campaign’s approach to its target audiences of elected officials, business and civic leaders, and college and high school teachers and students, and be a sounding board for campaign staff.

Expressions of interest should be in writing and include a brief statement describing why you want to serve on the Life, Well Run Ideas Advisory Committee and what you could contribute. Submissions are due by COB April 17, 2013, and should be sent by e-mail to Catherine Smith at csmith@icma.org. The committee will meet for the first time the week of April 22.
