Thanks to ICMA Strategic Partners, The Ferguson Group and eCivis, ICMA is offering two scholarships for ICMA members to attend the 2018 Harvard Senior Executive program. Both The Ferguson Group and eCivis have committed to funding a scholarship, each to be awarded by ICMA, to cover the program fee of $16,100. The Ferguson Group has funded one scholarship per year since 2011; e-CIVIS joined them in 2016 to fund an additional scholarship. 

The Harvard Senior Executive program is a unique opportunity to challenge conventional thinking, thought processes, and the values that drive leadership decisions. It’s an opportunity for senior-level city and county managers and assistants to step away from the daily routine for three weeks to engage their intellect and hearts with other executives in team efforts to resolve tough issues and renew the commitment to their life’s work.

To apply for the 2018 scholarship, fill out the online application. Be sure to upload the Harvard Senior Executive application and your resume to the system when you apply.  Scholarship applications must be received by January 31, 2018. Scholarship recipients cover their own travel expenses.

Two sessions are offered and participants can choose which session they would like to attend:

• June 4 - 22, 2018
• July 9 - 27, 2018

A committee of ICMA members who have completed the program will select the scholarship recipients. Announcement of this year’s scholarship recipients will be made in March.
