The city of Rock Hill was the 2013 recipient of ICMA's Strategic Leadership and Governance Award for improving accountability and transparency. The award recognizes innovative and successful local government programs or processes that have significantly affected a local government organization's culture or strategic direction. A few of Rock Hill's efforts that were highlighted include its strategic plan which outlines the city's vision and contains measurable goals to hold the city accountable, and its performance dashboard which provides citizens the opportunity to view the city's performance.
SCCCMA Past President, Trey Eubanks, presented the award to the Rock Hill City Council on Monday, November 11, 2013.
