The City of Mountain Brook has been named as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for the 20th consecutive year. The City also received a Growth Award from the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forestry management. This is the 12th Growth Award the City has received.
The City of Mountain Brook formed a Tree Commission in 1993 and hired its first City Arborist in 2004.
