ICMA TV host and WebsEdge CEO Stephen Horn prepares to interview management expert Jim Collins.

Again this year, ICMA is partnering with WebsEdge, a global film production company based in Washington, D.C., and London, to produce a daily television program that will air during the ICMA Annual Conference in Seattle, September 27-30.

In keeping with the 2015 conference theme of “ICMA 101: Mastering the Fundamentals, Shaping the Future,” ICMA TV will focus on the future of local government management by highlighting examples of leading practices in innovations and leadership excellence in the field.

Each of the daily ICMA TV programs will include interviews with key speakers and leaders, news from the conference floor, and several prerecorded films that will highlight a number of innovative communities. These segments raise awareness of local government leading practices, especially in the areas of sustainability, economic and community development, housing, transportation, and civic engagement—just to name a few!

In addition to being featured in the daily ICMA TV conference television programming, in the conference hotels, and on icmatv.com, communities that have developed a pre-recorded segment find that the final films make outstanding promotional or informational pieces through which to showcase a community or to use for community outreach, fundraising or partnership proposals, marketing, recruitment, and other purposes.

On behalf of ICMA, the ICMAtv team at WebsEdge is launching its efforts to reach out to local governments across the country regarding the development of these special pre-recorded segments. There are a limited number of slots available on a first-come, first-served basis; and there is a cost associated with the production of each segment.

If you are interested in creating a film segment, contact Mark Rose at WebsEdge at mark@websedge.com, and WebsEdge staff will create a customized proposal and cost structure for you based on the content and complexity of your project. If you choose to participate, a dedicated WebsEdge producer will work closely with you to produce the film of your choice. Your community will retain the rights to reproduce and copy your segment for future use.

If you have any questions about this opportunity, contact Mark Rose at mark@websedge.com, or Michele Frisby at mfrisby@icma.org. You can also view sample programs featuring other ICMA members that were produced for past ICMA conferences.
