FINANCE DIRECTOR

Central Basin Municipal Water District is seeking a
Finance Director to lead and oversee all financial activities of the District. This position reports to the
General Manager and plays a key leadership role in ensuring strong financial management, reporting, budgeting, and strategic capital/debt planning.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $199,646 to $238,387 annually
Excellent benefits package including 100% employer-paid Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.
4/10 work schedule

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all financial activities of the District, including planning, monitoring, and reporting
Lead financial reporting and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
Direct budget development and support budgetary recommendations to leadership
Manage capital and debt management activities
Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team on public financing, accounting, and investments
Drive improvements by supporting the implementation of enhancements and updates in financial systems
Lead, mentor, and manage assigned staff, fostering strong operational performance and collaboration

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related field
Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional finance experience at a government agency, including three (3) years of management and supervisory experience
