This power point presentation provides on overview the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) efforts to improve tracking of institutional controls (ICs) implemented as part of remedial actions. The presentation examines EPA’s testing of prototype applications designed to track ICs, the timeframe in which the Agency intends to complete development of a national tracking network, and how such a network would operate. The presentation also outlines why coordinated tracking of ICs is needed, the Agency’s outreach efforts on the issues of tracking ICs, and the development of a common language for IC tracking.
