In 2006, a national accreditation team gave the Morris County jail top marks and said it was the best-run jail they had ever visited. On May 13, 2009, another review team from the American Correctional Association said the same thing - and were even more effusive in their praise for the 9-year-old county lockup and the administrators and staff who run it.
