Eureka has an incredible homeless problem.  Many of the homeless persons are lost as to finding solutions to their personal impediment.  They City of Eureka together with Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) formed a multidisciplinary team to find, assess, triage and identify the best solution for the individual based on a personal assessment. The Mobile Intervention Services Team (MIST) focuses on the individual, taking them from tent to program, through a brick and mortal services triage center, all the way to housing.
