The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments has a Chief Administrative Officers (CAO) Committee. The CAO Committee, made up from the region’s city and county managers, meets, develops, and coordinates regional solutions to environmental problems, affordable housing, economic development, human services, growth, public safety, public health, and terrorism.
