Due to the realization that the local government wasn’t achieving expected results due to “silo” effects the City of Farmers Branch strategically calculated how to turn this around. Through developing a framework that targeted City Council down to individual departments the new plan ensured that every level of the organization was directly targeted. This method proved successful with 98% of deliverables achieved in the first year. . The program has been nominated for the 2016 Local Government Excellence Awards in the category of Strategic Leadership & Governance (populations of 10,000 – 49,999).
