Through the combined partnership of four different entities the City of Dublin was able to successfully create a new, privately owned, affordable, mixed income community through the redevelopment of an existing low-income neighborhood with virtually no federal funding. This partnership which included the Housing Authority, the City, a non-profit builder and a market-rate builder resulted in a vibrant community in which previous residents were not permanently displaced. The details surrounding the lack of funding, solution and goals achieved are held in this document. This program is the winning submission for the 2016 Local Government Excellence Awards in the category of Community Partnership (populations of 50,000 and greater).
