The Design Thinking approach for library redesign included two specific aspects: (1) an innovative new leadership development program for emerging leaders called Leader’s Challenge that introduces Design Thinking methodologies to participants; and (2) the use of Design Thinking by a Leader’s Challenge team to redesign how the Department of Libraries reaches three key underserved populations in Arlington County, Virginia.
