In order to promote early child literacy, the Johnson County Library re-branded the American Library Association's Every Child Ready to Read (ECRTR) program. Their new program is called “6 by 6, Ready to Read” – based on ECRTR’s “six pre-reading skills by age six” – and uses original illustrations by national author-illustrator Brad Sneed for the accompanying marketing tools.
