This is the 2010 nomination of Ottawa County, Michigan’s GOLD Standard Training Program for the Strategic Leadership and Governance Award. County Administrator Alan Vanderberg is credited with helping to develop the Growth Opportunities in Learning and Development (GOLD) Standard Training Program. This program was designed to provide County employees with accessible and quality training customized to the particular needs and standards of the County, resulting in a lasting program of employee development.
