…ICMA Conference 2016  is a can’t miss opportunity to network with your peers and to learn about solutions to the pressing issues in your community. Sustainability is the result of a strong foundation designed around effective networking. In the dynamic environment that we all serve, there isn’t always time to compile white papers, form a curriculum, or discover a book. Many issues are resolved through the collaborative efforts of our peers. Consider topics such as the effect of the decrease in oil/gas related valuations on ad valorem taxes, programming for an inclusive environment, and infrastructure that considers topical gender issues, etc. Share what’s going on in your community – your most pressing issues – let’s start the conversation now and prepare to share in Kansas City! ICMA.org is a great platform to share our thoughts, but remember the value of your thought and make sure to make it accessible to our peers through social media by utilizing groups, hashtags, common forums, etc. I’m looking forward to the wealth of knowledge you’ll each bring to ICMA 2016, and the tremendous host team in KC!
