For nearly 20 years, ICMA’s Strategic Partners program has supported the mission of ICMA by providing resources in support of  research, professional development, training, and networking activities. Nearly all of ICMA's strategic partners will be attending or exhibiting during the 2015 Seattle Annual Conference. They are wearing blue ribbons and would love the opportunity to speak with attendees.

Many strategic partners engage with ICMA beyond their general or executive level partnership benefits.  

ICMA-RC supports professional development opportunities and provides education about retirement to our members. ICMA-RC's support also helps ICMA attract the next generation of leaders to local government careers in city and county management through Life, Well Run and other initiatives. Cigna has generously supported ICMA’s annual conference activities and other topics through a multi-year agreement.

Other Strategic Partners have supported ICMA’s missions in a variety of ways.

• BoardDocs is connected to ICMA through a specialized advertising package, conference sponsorships and content creation. 
• Buxton staff experts participated in a special pre-conference workshop at Brownfields 2015, an EPA and ICMA co-managed event, that attracted more than 2,700 attendees to Chicago, September 2 -4. 
• CH2M is a provider of thought-leadership around collaborative service delivery and was also a major sponsor and thought leader featured during Brownfields 2015.
• Esri is a long-time partner supporting multiple books and activities, most recently white boarding exercises with ICMA members to strategize about building better local governments apps. 
• The Ferguson Group, LLC sponsored a 2015 scholarship to allow an ICMA member to attend the Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executives in Local Government program.
• The Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) has worked with ICMA’s Center for Sustainable Communities, providing a content piece on rooftop solar energy for the Center’s SunShot Solar Outreach work with the U.S. Department of Energy. 
• The National Research Center, Inc has a unique partnership agreement that offers ICMA members access to a citizen survey template as well as other tools.
• OnBase by Hyland supports the work of ICMA’s Advisory Panel on Technology Content. 
• Republic Services recently entered a new corporate partnership that includes a strong presence at conference, as well as thought-leadership and content pieces. 
• SAS and ICMA have co-developed ICMA Insights™ a cutting-edge performance management and analytics platform that has been adopted by more than 130 communities. 
• Siemens entered into its second year of partnership with ICMA by recommitting to support the Life, Well Run campaign.
