When members and strategic partners get togther great ideas surface. At Sunday's Strategic Partners Annual Meeting discussions centered around eight topic areas where members were able to share thier ideas and needs and ICMA's strategic partners generated both solutions and brainstormed even more ideas. Some topics....

• Innovative local governments love to demo! If one of our partners is interested in exploring whether a new product or service has application for local governments, share it.
• Just the facts. To help bring innovations or ways of cutting costs to local government, having facts that demonstrate how doing something using outside expertise versus using internal resources helps councilmembers make decisions.
• Bringing nonprofit organizations into the mix can help build both community awareness and support for initiatives.
